Statutes
Purpose
§ 1 The association's mission is to:
Promote cooperation between guardians, the student body and school management at Kungsholmens Gymnasium
Through activities and communication, create a meeting for an effective dialogue between guardians, the student body and school management
Support the implementation of valuable activities initiated by the students and, to the extent that the association has financial means, distribute grants to groups that make special efforts to promote student cohesion, and through scholarships support students who have particularly distinguished themselves with efforts that promote well-being and cohesion or academic results.
§2 The association shall be politically and religiously independent.
Membership
§3 The activities include all homes with students at Kungsholmens gymnasium/Stockholms Musikgymnasium. Membership is available to every parent or other guardian. The board may also elect other persons who have an interest in the school and the association's work.
Membership fee
§4 The size of the membership fee is determined by the annual meeting. A family only needs to pay one fee regardless of the number of family members attending Kungsholmens Gymnasium.
Annual meeting
§5 The association's annual meeting should be held before the end of October. Extraordinary association meetings are held when the board deems it necessary or when requested in writing by at least 25 members. A notice with a proposed agenda shall be sent to the members, in the case of an annual meeting at least two weeks and in the case of an extraordinary meeting at least one week before the meeting. The notice of an extraordinary meeting shall state the reason for holding the meeting. The decision of the meeting shall be that for which the majority of votes have been cast. In the event of a tie, the opinion supported by the chairman of the meeting shall prevail in the case of voting, and in other matters in the case of other matters.
Nomination Committee
§6 The Nomination Committee is elected at the annual meeting. The Nomination Committee shall prepare all elections held at the association meeting for the period up to and including the next annual meeting. Members of the Nomination Committee have the right to attend board meetings.
Composition of the board
§7 The association's board consists of 7 members, who are elected by the annual meeting as follows:
The Chairman for a term of one year
Six members, representing the school's different areas of expertise, for a period of one year
At least four deputies elected for a term of one year
Constitution
§8 The board appoints from among its members:
Vice President
Secretary
Cashier
Contact person for the association's communications, website, newsletters, etc.
Contact person for grants and scholarships
Other positions that the board finds appropriate
If necessary, own working groups for the association's work during the year
Alternate members have the right to attend all board meetings, however, they do not have the right to vote unless they are replacing a regular member.
Signatories
§ 9 The signatories are the chairman and the treasurer respectively.
Quorum of the Board
§ 10 The Board has a quorum when more than half of the regular members are present.
Audit
§ 11 Two auditors and one deputy auditor are elected at the annual meeting.
§ 12 The audit of the board's administration and the association's accounts during the financial year is carried out by the auditors appointed at the annual meeting and, if necessary, by the deputy auditor.
The auditors must submit their report no later than two weeks before the annual meeting. The association's operating and financial year runs from July 1 to June 30.
Representatives of school management, staff and students
§ 13 In order for the association to be able to fulfill its task according to § 1, representatives of school management, staff and students are invited to part of the board meeting:
Principals
Student Council Representatives
School staff or other representatives may be invited as needed.
§ 14 Representatives from the school's other student associations are welcome to contact the board on their own initiative to participate in meetings.
Amendment of the statutes
§ 15 To amend these statutes, a decision is required by two consecutive association meetings, at least one of which must be an annual meeting. At least two months must have passed between the two meetings.
Dissolution
§ 16 For the dissolution of the association, a decision is required in the same order as stipulated in § 15. However, for such a decision to be valid, a 2/3 majority is required at each meeting. If the decision to dissolve the association has been made, the association shall decide at the last association meeting how any assets shall be disposed of.
